Third Puppy
Clay and I think one of the best "tricks" we taught the puppies was not to get on the furniture. Since both Baxter and Maggie weigh about 80lbs each they would end up absorbing all of the couch space leaving the people to sit on the floor. However, an unexpected consequence of teaching the dogs to stay off the couch is that the cat hardly ever leaves the furniture. The cat (or Tigger as Clay calls him) simply moves from couch top to couch top to avoid the dogs. So this morning I was surprised to find this . . .
Perhaps we have a third puppy! Granted it's a grouchy, biting, evil puppy.

Poor kitty. Always getting a bum wrap. He looks more content than I have ever seen him!!!
Mrs. B - it's just a ploy on the cat's part to gain sympathy! :) This is weird that the cat is on the ground...as I recall, he'd rarely do that!
I think our pets have finally made peace with one another, if there is a chase generally it seems more like a game. I am not saying they are the best of friends or anything, but I think Tigger likes Maggie maybe more than most humans.
I do have a theory ... that looks like one of Baxter's spots ... I bet Baxter left leaving a nice warm spot on the rug ... Tigger just moved in and stole his warms.
We really have to work hard to keep our cats off of the furniture. We let them on the beds, but try to keep them off our couch and chaise in the living room. They win that battle a lot. :)
I still say that blasted cat is possessed. Remember when it used to get on your desk and knock down the picture of your dogs??? Evil little kitty! I hate cats!!!
